On Thursday, 3/12/20, FOX29 will be at A.I. duPont High School to showcase our marching band on a new Good Day Philadelphia segment called “Bob on the Bandwagon.” Bob Kelly and his camera crew will be at the school between 9:00-10:00 am. The band will appear in a tease of the segment around 9:15 am. The live hit will be somewhere around 9:30 am. After that, the band will also record a short video clip for the FOX29 Website.
Students should report to the band room at 8:30 am after checking in with their period 4 teacher. We will be “on duty” from approximately 9:00-9:45 am. After that, students will be sent to their period 5 class.
We have been asked to wear our full uniforms for the segment. Students need to bring ALL parts of their uniform to school for the show. This includes black sock, shoes, hats, etc. Band Fronts should bring everything that they may need (including uniform, tights, warm-ups, etc.). We will open the restrooms by the band room so students can change at 8:30, and again after the event.
The segment may take place on the track in the football stadium, in the gym, or in the band room. That will be determined by the film crew upon arrival. Please see Mr. Weaver with any questions.
